We have returned from our sunny holiday after lots of ice-creams, sunscreen and freckles, refreshed and ready for the rest of the year.

I thought you may like to see the pigeon I  knitted while the kids romped around the beach. I have been battling with pigeons over the last year, trying to find clever ways of stopping them eating all the seed meant for our chook. I have tried an owl, CD's tied to a string, a big cloth, waving my hands, banging on the window and throwing things! To my surprise I have found their flamboyant disregard for my schemes has impressed me, even though they still drive me mad. This little fellow above has sneakily found himself a place in one of the books I am working on! Cheeky pigeon.
