My first book trailer! I thought I wouldn't be able to do for a while there. I hope you like it! My favourite bit is at the end, makes me laugh each time I see it. :)
Sorry the still picture of the video so weird and fuzzy. . .the hiccups of a beginner!
Look what was waiting for me at home last night - a Chinese translation of 'I Don't Believe in Dragons'! I do love brown paper packages!
I had a late night working on how to make a book 'trailer'. I think I finally had a break through, a few more late nights ahead but I might just be able to bring it together before the books are in bookshops!
I sometimes wonder where my place is in the world of twitter, facebook, instagram, pinterest, blogging and generally seeing all the wonderful things different people are doing. . .I enjoy pinning and snapping pics, watching snippets of conversations on facebook but at the same time, I often feel a bit overwhelmed by it all! I read an article on the weekend and the part that I loved were the words about not worrying about what so many others are doing but thinking about what is important to you and trust in that. On Sunday we made a wooden frame for a vegetable garden, I sewed two cushions, the kids made 'melting moments' and with the rain outside we enjoyed pottering around our home together. The afternoon made everything seem clear, and helped me to continue shuffling happily along the village path, with the occasional snuffle and tweet.
You may have already been introduced to the wonderful world of Delphine Durand, but it is worth revisiting! It will make you smile on any cloudy day. Her work is fabulous and funny. Her quirky and amusing creatures have delighted me for years. A favourite book in our house is 'Bob & Co'. We have lots of favourites but Bob is special. You can see more of Delphine's world here and here. It is easy to translate her blog now too, which makes looking at the pictures better when you can understand the words. :)
