Last night we had our studio Christmas party. A while ago each of us was given a secret name of someone in the studio with a short list of things the person likes. Cats and budgies was among the things that I could choose from for my Kris Kringle, so I made of course I made him a felt budgie! :) We celebrated the fun night, eating the delicious food at Charcoal Lane.
The adventures of George and Lily are worth looking out for, written by Anne Gutman and Illustrated by her husband Georg Hallensleben. Anne and Georg live in Paris with their daughter and too many cats. Their life sounds like a wonderful story!
It has been a very exciting few days with the opening of 'Look!' The exhibition looks sooooo fabulous. Mike Shuttleworth, Anat Meiri and the team at the State Library have done an amazing job of bringing the work together and presenting it in an appealing and friendly way to kids. There is also video showing how ten different book illustrators work. I am painting a panda here. Thankkfully it seemed to work ok, considering how nervous I was!
